I don’t feel anyone should have to commit themselves or their money to a workshop without trying it first to see if it feels right for them. That’s why the first Writers' Den class is a trial class. It is the actual first class of the workshop but there’s no commitment and no payment. You come and have the class to see what it’s like. You get a copy of Jerry Cleaver's book Immediate Fiction (St. Martin’s Press) and a CD of the workshop material. You have the class but no one signs up and no one pays. You go home and think about it. If you decide not to take the workshop, the book and CD are yours as a gift. If you decide to take the workshop, you return for the second class.

The full workshop meets from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM for six weeks. The cost for the entire workshop is $575. You can charge it on a credit card if you like. If you do that, you can spread the payments out over three, four, or five months. Five months brings it down to $115 per month. Also, the workshop is fully guaranteed. That means, if you’re unsatisfied at any time for any reason, you’re entitled to a full refund — no questions asked so you’re not risking your money in any way. If you’re not happy with the workshop, you shouldn’t have to pay.
